Ogo Maduewesi, Co-founder/Impact Producer

Ogo Maduewesi is an impact producer and an impact storyteller, a Social Entrepreneur and a Social Impact Entertainment SIE enthusiast, an unpublished author, and a Body Confidence/Positive Self Body Image campaigner.

Ogo Maduewesi, a creative director with a commitment to creating content and impact productions that stands at the intersection of art, entertainment, social impact, social development and activism. We are dedicated to entertainment that inspires audiences to engage in positive social change to drive real-world impact and awareness around our most vital issues. Ogo produced a Dcumentary on Vitiligo in 2010 and also a short story series titled Tales of Vitiligo 1 – 6. This awakened her to the possibilities she has been trying to figure out, which is how to extend support, enlightenment to a much larger target audience and conditions sustainably.
In 2014, I took a very short course – Using Media for Development at Radio Netherlands Training Center RNTC, Hilversum… and that is a pointer to get on it. Years later, we are here with a production company doing that…

Ogo strongly believes in stirring conversations around Appearance discrimination, Lookism especially as lookism is less cultural attention than other forms of discrimination (such as racism and sexism) and typically does not have the legal protections that other forms often have, but it is still widespread and significantly affects people’s opportunities in terms of romantic relationships, job opportunities, and other realms of life.

Ogo is a founding Director at the International Alliance of Dermatology Patient Organization –IADPO.

She is an Ashoka Fellow and a Commonwealth Professional Fellow.
